Gürbüz Winery was founded in 2012 by winemaker and consultant Akın Gürbüz, a UC Davis-trained viticulturist and enologist. Gürbüz winery produces premium Turkish wines. Akin is also a judge at the International Wine Challenge in London, regularly speaks at global wine events, and trains both enthusiasts and professionals.
